What time of year should you clean your car park?
When to clean your driveway entirely depends on the reasoning behind cleaning the driveway. For example, Pressure Washing Exeter have customers who have their driveway cleaned at the start of every year to ensure its clean all year round. Some customers need their driveway cleaned towards the end of the season for reasons such as wanting to improve the properties’ look before listing it for sale. Others opt for as and when, whenever it needs cleaning.
If you think your driveway could do with a clean, then it probably does.

Does Pressure Washing Cause Damage?
If done correctly using the right level of pressure, right nozzles and right technique, pressure washing won’t cause damage.
Pressure washing can cause damage when too high pressure is used – this is typically due to a lack of experience from the opporator or inadequate training.
Different pressures must be used for different surfaces to ensure a safe yet effective clean. Too high and damage may be caused, too low and the surface won’t be cleaned. Surfaces such as render may only withstand low pressure, whereas a driveway made from concrete can withstand significantly higher pressure. For this reason, soft washing is typically used for render cleaning which utilises low pressure cleaning.
To ensure no damage is caused, employ a professional pressure washer such as Pressure Washing Exeter to ensure a safe and effective clean for your home or business.
Can you pressure wash block paved car parks?
Absolutely! We pressure wash block paving on a daily basis. When done correctly it is perfectly safe to pressure wash block paving. The fears/questions come from sinking block paving, which can happen if done incorrectly.
Block paving is laid upon a bed of sand with kiln dried sand between the blocks. It is this base layer of sand as well as the sand between the blocks which stabilises the driveway. When this sand between the blocks is removed during pressure washing, it must be replaced. Failure to replace this sand can result in both sinkage as well as extreme weed growth. Additionally, if pressure washing is done too intently, for instance blasting one exact spot for too long, the deeper sand below the blocks can be removed, this can also cause issues.
Reach out to have your block paved driveway professionally cleaned and sanded to ensure a safe and thorough clean.
Can you clean my car park if i dont have an outside tap?
We can! With a 1000L water bowser on board, we are more than equip to supply water where needed when there is no on-site water supply. This is especially useful when cleaning building sites with no water supplies or simply properties that don’t have outside taps.
Should we need more than 1000L we also have towable bowsers which we bring – however, 1000L is sufficient for most size jobs.

Benefits of Car Park
Driveway cleaning yields many benefits to your home or business, the main one being physical appearance. Your driveway is often one of the first things guests see, so it’s important it gives a good first impression, whether you’re selling your home or simply hosting guests.
- Boost Property Value
- A Cleaner More Enjoyable Home
- Extend The Life Of Surfaces
How Often Should You Get Your Car Park Cleaned in Exeter?
Some clients in Exeter opt for annual driveway cleaning to ensure a clean property year-round. Some opt for less frequent cleaning plans, every other or every three years.
The frequency of driveway cleaning will be determined by factors such as the location, e.g. whether it is in a damp shaded area, the traffic, is it being walked and driven on often as well as the surface material itself. If there is an oil leak or other unforeseen event, your driveway will need cleaning sooner – especially with oil, the sooner it is removed the less it will seep into the surface.
If your driveway is looking dirty, or are asking yourself the question “when do I need to get my driveway cleaned?” – then you probably need to get your driveway cleaned. Another way to determine if it is time to clean your driveway is whether it is slippery, especially when it is wet – your driveway shouldn’t be slippery, if it is, it is dirty/has a coat of algae on it.
How Much Does Car Park Cleaning Cost in Devon?
The cost to have your driveway cleaned in Eeter will vary depending on the task itself, the size, the challenges, the access as well as simply how dirty the surface is. The larger and dirtier the surface, the more time and cleaning solutions will be needed to clean it, therefore the cost will rise. Typically, the average driveway costs between £125 and £495.
The type of surface as well as type of dirt also affects the price. For instance, a driveway with significant black spots, oil stains or rust stains will cost more to clean than if there are no major stains and is a regular maintenance clean removing algae, moss and dirt.
