Terms and Conditions

Terms and Conditions for Pressure Washing Exeters Services

VAT

There is no VAT to be added to the final price.

Minimum Charge

A minimum charge of £175 total applies to all work completed. This is due to the time and cost involved in travel, setup, equipment, fuel and pack away.

Deposits

A 10% deposit may be required for jobs totalling £750 or more, at the discretion of Pressure Washing Exeter and assessed on a job-by-job basis.

To secure dates more than 60 days in advance, a 10% deposit may also be required.

Quote Validity

Quotes are valid for 60 calendar days from the date of issue. After this period, prices may be subject to revision due to changes in fuel, materials, chemical costs or other operating expenses.

Blackspot & Rust Removal

Unless clearly specified, complete removal of blackspot/lichen is not included as part of a standard clean. In many cases, blackspot is significantly reduced or removed, but this cannot be guaranteed without specialist treatment.

Rust removal is also not included in standard cleans.

Where blackspot or rust appears to be a significant issue during the quotation process, we will raise this with you and advise whether additional treatment and cost may be required.

Weed Control

Pressure washing will remove visible weeds and surface growth, however it does not kill weed roots or prevent future weed growth.

On porous surfaces such as block paving, weeds can and will re-grow over time, especially where roots are established deep below the surface. This cannot be fully stopped by pressure washing.

Where there is a high level of weed growth, we will clarify this with you before cleaning and may organise for the weeds to be sprayed prior to the clean.

If weeds grow back after the clean, Pressure Washing Exeter cannot be held accountable, as ongoing weed control remains the customer’s responsibility.

Water Supply

Unless otherwise agreed, this quote assumes that a suitable on-site water supply is available.

Water must be provided via a standard UK outside tap. A standard UK outside tap will usually provide a flow rate of 10 litres per minute or above, with around 15 litres per minute being common.

A minimum flow rate of 10 litres per minute is required for us to work efficiently.

Poor water flow may slow down the work and could result in additional costs, delays or the need to reschedule, depending on the size and nature of the job.

Electricity is not required, as we use high-powered petrol pressure washing equipment.

Preparation of Area

Please move any pots, garden furniture, ornaments, vehicles or personal items from the area to be cleaned before our arrival.

If there are heavy items you are unable to move, please let us know in advance. We are happy to assist where reasonably possible.

Access to Property

Please ensure there is clear and unrestricted access to the area being cleaned.

Any access issues, locked gates, blocked areas or obstacles may result in delays, rescheduling or additional charges.

Damage Disclaimer

While every care is taken, Pressure Washing Exeter is not liable for pre-existing damage or weaknesses in surfaces or structures.

This includes, but is not limited to, cracked slabs, loose paving, damaged pointing, blown render, weak mortar, loose edgings, unstable surfaces, flaking paint or previously damaged areas.

It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure the area is suitable for pressure washing.

Weather Conditions

We reserve the right to delay or reschedule work due to adverse weather conditions, including heavy rain, strong winds, freezing temperatures or any conditions that may affect safety or the quality of the work.

We will make every effort to notify you in advance where possible.

Payment Terms

Payment is due upon completion of the work.

We accept payment by cash, bank transfer, cheque and Bitcoin.

If payment is not received within 21 days, a late payment fee of 5% may be applied to cover the additional time and administration required for payment follow-ups.

Cancellations and Rescheduling

If you need to cancel or reschedule your booking, please provide at least three days’ notice.

Cancellations made with less than three days’ notice may incur a fee to cover lost revenue and the inability to offer the appointment to another customer.

Liability

Pressure Washing Exeter is fully insured for public liability during the completion of our work.

However, we are not responsible for damage, delays or issues caused by third parties, including pets, children, visitors, neighbours or unauthorised persons entering the work area.

Health and Safety

All work will be carried out with health and safety in mind.

Customers should ensure the work area is safe, accessible and free from hazards before we arrive.

We reserve the right to stop, delay or refuse work if we believe the area is unsafe.

Satisfaction Guarantee

We aim to provide a high standard of work and complete customer satisfaction.

If you are unhappy with any part of the work, please notify us within 10 days of completion so we have the opportunity to inspect and rectify any genuine issues.

After this period, no further claims will be accepted.
